My name is Alicia Owen. I am currently a Junior at the Pennsylvania State University. I am a Bachelor of Science candidate majoring in Secondary Education with an English/Communications option. I am currently completing my pre-service teaching in a high school in Central Pennsylvania and will begin student teaching in Spring 2011. I will graduate in Spring 2011. I have been a member of the Schreyer Honors College since 2007. My thesis will explore the effectiveness of a student protest from 2001 and of the resulting university policies.
